It’s okay NOT to be perfect…

Remind yourself that it’s okay not to be perfect. The thing that is really hard and really amazing is giving up on being perfect and beginning the work of becoming yourself. Imperfections are important, just as mistakes are. You only get to be good by learning from mistakes, and you get to be real by being imperfect. Cling to your imperfections… they’re what makes you unique. Don’t change for anyone, because your choices and who you are, are a stronger bond than being perfect.

I’m so lucky….

Look what I got today.  It’s such a great feeling to get flowers for no reason whatsoever……

Don’t let people get the best of you…

We sometimes let people get the best of us, destroy us, and change our opinions on what we believe is true. Only you know what is right for yourself. You have the power, you make the choices and you learn. Each experience we go through in life is a lesson to be learned. We all make mistakes. Why is that so hard for some to understand? No one should be judged by the mistakes they have made. It’s past news.

Does going to church make you a Christian?

Going to church doesn’t make you any more a Christian than going to the garage makes you a car. Your beliefs don’t make you a better person, your behavior does. Your words mean nothing if your actions are the complete opposite. Having true faith in whatever it is you believe must be shown through actions, believing is only half the battle. Let your dreams be bigger than your fears, your actions louder than your words, and your faith stronger than your feelings.

Happy Birthday, Son…

Not the oldest, not the youngest; but somewhere in between.
A middle child can sometimes be lost amid life’s daily routine.
You never got to be the first at any new stage;
Nor the last to treasure a final special age.
“Time for bed, you little ones”, always included you.
But “older children, clean the dishes”, meant middle children too!

I want to say I am proud of you, you have made my life a treat!
For without the middle child, a family would not be complete.
You are the precious balance between growing up and youth.
You teach us about compromise and seeking the truth.
At times it is hard to let you go, to cut the apron strings.
But whatever tomorrow brings you will face each new challenge.
I want you to know your place in my heart
Is steady and true & will never cease to grow!
